The Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) is a leading Moroccan think tank based in Rabat. It focuses on economic, social, and geopolitical issues impacting Morocco, Africa, and the broader Global South. Founded in 2014 (originally established as the OCP Policy Center before rebranding in 2018), the PCNS serves as an open debate platform bridging the gap between academic research and public policy-making. It advocates for an enterprising "New South" that shapes its own independent narratives and strategic choices regarding global affairs.
Its research spans agriculture, economic development, commodity economics, and international relations. PCNS also hosts major events like the Atlantic Dialogues and develops future leaders through initiatives such as the Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders (ADEL) program.
