As ACBF adopt the new strategy 2017-2021 and reposition itself in Africas changing capacity development landscape and be the go-to-place for capacity development, there is need to support this endeavour by strengthening real time access to high quality, reliable, credible and cutting edge relevant information on capacity development. In todays knowledge economy, the possession and access of strategic information enables institutions to gain competitive advantage. The prevailing major challenge of information overload has led many people to do their work using sources of information that may not always be credible, thereby compromising the quality and standards of their output. It is against this background that the objective of this seminar is to raise awareness and encourage staff to effectively access, navigate and search smarter, not harder the many authoritative and peer reviewed librarys electronic resources on capacity development that include e-books, e-journals, databases, portals and gateways available on the ACBFs virtual Library. Also to be introduced during the seminar are the new library initiatives and services tailor-made to meet the interests and needs of individual ACBF staff.
