About the Hub

The Africa Capacity Knowledge Hub (ACKH) is a continental digital platform that centralizes Africa's knowledge assets, expert networks, and learning programs in one accessible, searchable space. It is built and hosted by the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF), the African Union's Specialized Agency for Capacity Development. The Hub connects governments, think tanks, universities, regional institutions, development partners, civil society organizations, and the private sector in advancing Africa's development agenda.

Africa's knowledge ecosystem is rich but fragmented. Groundbreaking research produced at institutions across the continent often reaches only a narrow audience. Policy briefs that could inform national budget decisions sit in institutional archives. The Hub exists to close the gap between knowledge production and knowledge use so that Africa's best evidence reaches the people who can act on it, in the institutions that shape the continent's future.

The platform serves a broad community of development stakeholders, including:

  • Policymakers and government officials
  • Researchers and academics
  • Think tanks and research institutions
  • Civil society organizations (CSOs)
  • Development partners and donors
  • Private sector actors and practitioners
  • Students and early-career professionals
