e Centre d’Excellence pour le Leadership et le Management pour le Développement de l’Afrique (CELMAD) is a pan-African think-and-action tank (« Think-Act ») based in Dakar, Senegal. Founded by a group of highly experienced African executives and led by Dr Fodé Ndiaye, the center was established to align directly with the African Union's Agenda 2063 for a prosperous, integrated, and peaceful continent. Unlike traditional academic institutions, CELMAD focuses on a practical, co-constructive approach, designing rigorously researched strategies that translate immediately into concrete field action, capacity-building programs, and policy updates.The core mission of the center revolves around developing a new generation of transformative leaders through contextualized management. CELMAD advocates for leadership models that are deeply anchored in Africa's unique historical, cultural, and socio-demographic realities, while heavily integrating modern digital tools like artificial intelligence and data science. By bridging policy gaps and upgrading strategic competencies among public and private decision-makers, the organization places a special emphasis on empowering women and youth to drive structural governance reforms, ethical leadership, and sustainable development across the continent.
